Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Trip Overview

Get ready for one of the most beautiful but not-so-difficult treks in Nepal: Annapurna Base Camp at an altitude of 4130 m. Although not as famous as the coveted trek of Everest Base Camp, this trek allows us to immerse in a stronger and more striking culture, passing through traditional ethnic villages that maintain their ancient customs in agriculture, architecture, and simple way of living.

Annapurna base camp is located in the Kaski district of Nepal surrounded by the Annapurna Conservation Area. The Annapurna massif has more than 14 peaks that exceed 7,000m, with the highest point being Annapurna I at 8,091 meters high, it was the first mountain above 8,000 meters climbed.

The Annapurna region is home to friendly and very receptive people of Gurungs, Magars, Tamangs, Chhetris, Thakalis, and Brahmins. Apart from agriculture and animal husbandry, they are also engaged in tourism and migrant labor. The Gururngs, Magars, and Tamangs practice traditional Tibetan Buddhism while others practice Hinduism in the region.

Through our Annapurna Base Camp trek, you will have the opportunity to share beautiful and magical moments with these people when spending the night in their warm, small, and simple villages.

In addition to welcoming hospitality, we will also enter two base camps: Macchapuchhre – where the sacred mountain Macchapuchhre stands out and Annapurna. Along the route, we will constantly disappear between deep rhododendron forests, and bamboo thickets all the time with the company of Macchapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I and III, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli, and Gandharvachuli.

We will walk over suspension bridges, cross the rivers of Modi Khola, Chhomrong Khola, and Kimrung Khola, and pass by numerous cascading waterfalls. Additionally, we will have a fair chance to see the snow leopard, musk deer, langurs, Tibetan Sandgrouse, Tibetan Argali, Eurasian Eagle-Owl, and many more roaming in the thick forest.

In addition, our expert team has designed the program of the Annapurna Base Camp trek to serve an audience that wants lighter trekking, with greater comfort, where we will not suffer the effects of altitude. In this itinerary we also emphasize the cultural area, we will have separate days to visit temples, monasteries, and museums in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Pokhara.

And what’s more, we have now an open booking for the Annapurna Base Camp trek for 2024/2024. Contact us today, book your seats, and boast about your adventure in Nepal.
