Mera Peak Climbing

Trip Overview

Do you want to be part of something great and eternal? Do you want to stand on top of the world surrounded by breathing rarefied mountain views? Yes, then our Mera Peak expedition is for you which is not just a trip but a real adventure, where every step is filled with meaning and challenge.

Mera Peak, the highest trekking peak in Nepal, offers a unique chance to cross the threshold of 6000 meters. It is situated in the Hongu Himal and surrounds the Solukhumbu and Makalu Barun National Park.

The three main peaks of Mera are Mera North at 6476 m, Mera Central at 6461 m and Mera South at 6065 m. The classic route takes us to the Mera Central which was first conquered in 1953 by British Army officer Jim Roberts, and his Sherpa Sen Tenzing.

The summit of Mera Peak offers unbelievable views of the five highest peaks on the planet: Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Cho Oyu, and Everest.

In our 19-day Mera Peak Expedition, we will set to triumph the Mera Central from Lukla. Climbing the Hinku Valley, we return to Kathmandu crossing the 4610 m Zatrawa La Pass.

Our designed route to the Mera Peak expedition takes us through the pristine trails of Makalu Barun National Park, where encounters with other hikers are rare, making our adventure even more exclusive. In addition, we traverse through and spend nights in calm Sherpa villages where we get to interact with the friendliest people on the planet.

Likewise, our ascent program is designed with optimal acclimatization in mind. We have two backup days at Tangnag and Khare in case of unforeseen circumstances therefore increasing the probability of successfully achieving our goal. Additionally, we will have a climbing preparation and training session at Khare.

Being technically easy, the Mera Peak Expedition is suitable for beginners. It will be your starting point into a world of high-altitude adventure.

Come join us! Be the early bird and enjoy a lucrative discount with confirmation of your seat in this remarkable journey in Nepal.

Note:Most of the places en route after leaving Lukla have limited cellphone and Wi-Fi coverage. Almost every tea house offers a data card for around $8, which provides access to the internet with a 5GB data limit, valid for 15 hours from the first login.

Essential Information

Before booking

  • Read the terms and conditions properly.
  • Make sure the payment is delivered to ensure the final confirmation.

After Booking

High-altitude activities in Nepal are not just physically demanding, they are a test of your fitness. It’s not a suggestion, it’s a necessity to ensure you’re physically ready for these adventures. By committing to physical training, you’ll not only be prepared, but you’ll also be confident and ready to take on the challenge.

Three Keys to Success in High Altitude Adventure:

Be Strong: Begin building and maintaining your physical strength as soon as you decide on a high-altitude adventure. Develop the stamina needed to handle the demanding conditions by engaging in activities that enhance cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, and flexibility. High-intensity uphill walking, running, and long hours of cycling are particularly beneficial. Additionally, cultivate mental toughness and self-confidence to manage both physical and psychological challenges. Stay focused, motivated, and adaptable in the face of difficulties.

Be Light: Choose lightweight, high-quality gear and clothing to minimize your load, as every ounce matters at high altitudes. Each morning, before leaving your tea house, check your day bag to ensure you’re carrying only essentials; hand over any excess to the porter. Thorough preparation helps reduce mental confusion, allowing you to concentrate on the trek and remain confident with each step.

Be Lean:

During the trip Set a comfortable pace and avoid rushing or trying to outperform other team members. Everyone has their own pace, so find yours and stick to it. This approach conserves energy and ensures resources are used effectively.

  •  Optimize your training and nutrition to maximize effectiveness. Focus on building endurance and strength while minimizing excess weight and distractions.

International Flights arrangements:You are responsible for arranging the international flight ticket and travel insurance, which can cover emergency evacuation and medical treatment. Our package doesn’t include this service.
